'Lost', 'The good, the bad and the ugly' and other Saturday goodies...
Woke up late today, like I promised myself! I hs been a lazy lazy Saturday. We've seen a couple of Lost episodes, season 1, as I've never seen any before. Well, I read everything about it, so watching the episodes is just to illustrate the scripts I read before.
We also saw The Good, The Bad and The Ugly... I slept during the film, but I saw enough. Enough to see how CLint Eastwood was gorgeous when he was young! I've always preferred Harrison Ford, but it was simply because I had never seen Clint Eastwood young.
This week the consumism virus caught me. I love Boots and I decided to buy soap there, instead of buying in a supermarket. I left the store 22 pounds poorer. I bought not only liquid soap (Dove - 2 for 1), but also microwavable wax (yeah, still couldn't find a cheap place here and I still didn't give up trying to learn myself - I hate razors), 3 creams for cellulites (1 pound each, clearing stock thing), those scrubs for face (my face skin is shit!), a travel bag for make-up with some creams in (1 pound!) and an empty 100 ml bottle to put shampoo/cream in so I can take it to my trips. When you take liquids and creams in your bagpack, you can only carry 100 ml bottles. We lost a Body Shop cream and liquid shower gel last trip because they were 200 ml. :-( The damn little bottle cost 1.20, more expensive than the L'Oreal cellulite cream!
Speaking of cellulites... I've sent some pictures of my cellulites to a magazine which is looking for guinea-pigs to test new products/treatments. Ha! I was shortlisted and will soon find out if my cellulited butt will feature in the magazine! :-P Yeah, it is a bit embarrassing, but if the treatment is good, it will be worth it!
Ok, gotta go enjoy the last hours of my super dupper lazy Saturday. I'm hungry! :-

Nerd Wannabe?
I saw this test on Mariana's blog and decided to take, pretty sure I would be the last nerd person in the world. Here is the result.
Your Score Summary
Overall, you scored as follows:
75% scored higher (more nerdy), and
25% scored lower (less nerdy).
What does this mean? Your nerdiness is:
Not nerdy, but definitely not hip.

A quick explanation about the videos below
They are all part of a single recording. We were at Mari's place, for the 3 Kings Day, some people got a bit drunk, some people are drunk by nature. Here is the result. It was just a 17-minute video, and there are still 6 video clips to edit.
The last of today
Not to be accused of just posting videos of other people embarrassing themselves, here is one of myself. This is way I didn't pursue a singer career. There's already too much suffering in this world!
Ooops, I did it again!
There are at least 2 more The Bonkers videos to edit. They are going to be famous!
So far I have eight videos on You Tube. The very first one uploaded was a message from Mariana to a friend in Brazil. I didn't promote this video, as it was personal, but it is set as "public" in You Tube. 51 views. Then we have two video of Lilian. The 1st one with 53 views and the 2nd one with 46. There is also a Romanian Christmas Carols, which has 565 views. My record so far. My sweet snow video, Beautiful Day, has 85 views and some sould voted it 5 stars. Thank you, stranger! :-) At last, but not least, the very first The Bonkers's video has now 14 views, but I had to correct it and substitute it; the previous version had over 50 views!
I feel sorry that the quality is so crap!
The best band of all times! :-D
It looks like those homemade videos.
Wait a minute, it is a homemade video!

No return
Our trip to Italy in Easter is booked. The flight, at least. So far, we are going to Italy (Milan/Bergamo/Verona/Venice - if we have time), Hungary (Budapest), and Germany (Munich). Still to book: trip for end of May (no idea where), Romania in June/July and Scotland in August. And guess what? Already thinking bout Christmas and New Years! ahahaha
Nah, just kidding. I'm thinking about the summer. Some people say that this year will be the second hottest year in UK history. I can't imagine the smell in the tube.
Thursday is Marco's birthday. We are going to celebrate one day before, going to a Burlesque show. I hope I can remember to take my camera and bring some photos home. Talking about photos, I have already the photos of Gran Canaria and Copenhagen. I'll try to post at least the ones from Gan Canaria on the trip blog. :-)
I do have other things to say, but I really manage to forget. I think I am just too tired. Oh, well, gonna watch some Family Guy then.

Last Friday we went for a club after a loooooong time. Well, we went to one on Mari's birthday, but before that, I can barely remember when we've been out to dance. We were so so tired that we almost didn't go. Thank God we did, because it was quite fun. Who "were" we? Cipri & I, Kaisa & Leo, and some of Leo's friend (his boss, a lady from his College department, two PhD students, two Master students).
Oh, what a feeling, when we're dancing on the ceiling. Cipri (British-Romanian), I-forgot-her-name (no idea where she is from, UK?), Leo (Ecuatorian), Christina (Luso-Brasileira).
So, let's talk about the future. Monday & Tuesday, English classes and massage. Wednesday we are going to a Burlesque show. Don't ask me what it is, because I'm not sure. Strip-tease, I was told. Thursday & Friday gonna catch up with friends. I can't remember what I have planned for the weekend. Maybe nothing.

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, mas eu to rindo a toa! Leo, I-forgot-her-name, Carlos (Colombian), ahmmm-what-is-your-name-again? (Italian), C&C.
The pic is a bit dark, but, well, it is romantic. :-)
Ring around the 'rosies: A pocketful of posies: ah-tishoo, ah-tishoo: We all fall down. Me, Cipri, oh-my-gosh-my-memory-is-not-well (Indian), Kaisa (Estonian), Leo, Juan Carlos (Colombian). The only missing one is Diego, the birthday-guy, who is also from Ecuador - and lived in Sao Paulo for a month! :-P

Saturday we went to Mari's place to eat Vatapah. Yummy, it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. Good, no, GREAT!!!! Geez! Need to learn this one too. Cipri has some pics, but not in his computer (this one I'm using now). I'll post some when I get them.
Today - Sunday - we went to the cinema. My plan was to spend the whole day in bed. Not even eat! I'm so bored with the food here that I lost my appetite completely. Anways, so we saw The Last King of Scotland. Quite good! Forest Whitaker is very good in the role; he might get the Oscar this year. :-) Still want to see Babel and Perfume.

News soon to come, I'll keep you posted. :-)

One minute of silence
Now that I've digested the news, I can share this awkward moment. The guy in the photo is the older son of a long-date friend of my mom. I knew him for more than 16 years, but we lost touch a long long time ago and all the news I had from him were given to my mom by his dad's wife. It was really shocking and hard to believe that he was killed in this damn Iraq war that Mr. Bush insists in carrying on with.
Sean left a 3 year old boy (in the pic with him), a Romanian wife, a 16 year old brother (whom I've seen in his mom's womb and helped changing the nappies), a 90-year old grannie; not to mention the rest of the family.
